Code Enforcement Commission to Review Property Violation Case, Elect New Leadership

The City of Pasadena’s Code Enforcement Commission will convene a special public meeting on July 3 to address a property code violation case and conduct leadership elections, city officials announced.

The 4 p.m. meeting at the Permit Center Hearing Room will primarily focus on a case involving property maintenance violations at 2208 Casa Grande Street in Council District 4. Investigators have identified multiple potential code infractions related to vehicle parking and property maintenance.

The commission will review alleged violations involving multiple sections of the Pasadena Municipal Code, including:

• Chapter 14.50 on Property Maintenance and Nuisance Abatement
• Chapter 10.40 on Stopping, Standing and Parking
• Chapter 14.04 on Building Code and Related Codes

The alleged violations reportedly also include restrictions on parking oversized vehicles.

In addition to the case review, commissioners will conduct some internal commission business.

The commission is scheduled to elect a new Chair and Vice-Chair and review panel assignments for the upcoming year. Inspector Trainee Cynthia Bao will present the case details.

Public participation is encouraged. Residents can attend the meeting in person at 175 N. Garfield Avenue.

The meeting will include a public comment period, with speakers limited to three minutes each.
