College Access Plan’s 3rd Annual Comedy Event Takes the Stage November 10th

College Access Plan, a Pasadena non-profit organization, will hold its 3rd annual “It’s a Funny Story…” comedy fundraiser at the Fremont Centre Theatre (1000 Fremont Ave, South Pasadena, CA, 91030) on November 10th from 7-9:30PM. This event will feature some of Los Angeles’s most popular comedians, including Laurie Kilmartin (Conan, Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central), Brent Weinbach (Conan, Comedians of Comedy), Gary Cannon (The Late Show with Craig Ferguson), Joe Dosch, and Ian Harris. The night’s emcee is comedian Dan Rothenberg (Comedy Central) and the co-host is John Muir High School alumnus Shaun Heard (2009).

Mr. Heard, who will be making his CAP comedy event debut, says, “My community is everything to me. I’ll always do whatever I can to help,” and adds, “I am so thankful for CAP! CAP was partially responsible for getting me off to college. I’m not sure if I would have even applied without them.” Shaun graduated in 2013 from CSU San Marcos and is now busily perusing a career as a triple threat: actor, writer, and director.
