A coalition of faith-based and nonprofit organizations will host a major resource distribution event Saturday, Sept. 20, at Westminster Presbyterian Church to support families in need across Pasadena, Altadena and surrounding communities.
The event begins at noon sharp at 1757 N. Lake Ave., with two big rigs delivering supplies earlier that morning.
Volunteers from LIFT International, Global Citizen USA, ACTS, My Tribe Rise, Westminster Presbyterian Church and other partners will assist with unloading and distribution. Each organization has pledged at least 20 volunteers to ensure smooth operations.
“This effort reflects the power of unity,” said Pastor Anthony McFarland, one of the initiative’s leaders. “When churches, nonprofits and community members join forces, we can meet critical needs and uplift families together.”
Trucks are scheduled to arrive before 10 a.m., with volunteers expected by 9:45 a.m. Unloading will take place near the ACTS area by the children’s play yard on church grounds.
