Pasadena will see cool, cloudy mornings with patchy drizzle through midweek before temperatures rise heading into the Independence Day weekend, forecasters said Monday.
The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard reported highs in the mid-70s through Wednesday, with overnight lows in the mid-50s. Skies will clear gradually each afternoon.
Monday’s forecast calls for drizzle before 11:00 a.m., then partly sunny skies with a high near 76 degrees. Winds will remain light, shifting south-southwest at 5 mph.
Tuesday will bring similar conditions, with drizzle possible in the morning and a high near 75 degrees. Wednesday is expected to be mostly sunny, reaching 76 degrees.
Temperatures will climb beginning Thursday, with highs near 79 degrees. Friday will warm further to 82 degrees. Independence Day is forecast to reach 84 degrees under partly sunny skies.
Overnight lows will stay in the mid-to-upper 50s throughout the week. Winds in Pasadena will remain calm to light, though stronger gusts are expected in interior valleys and deserts under advisories.
Forecasters noted that the marine layer will persist, keeping mornings gray and damp. Pasadena residents should expect cooler-than-normal conditions through Thursday before the warming trend arrives.
