Cool Unsettled Weather, Rain Expected in Pasadena Next Week

Saturday offers the best chance for sunshine as onshore flow weakens, allowing temperatures to climb slightly higher than Friday. Clouds will increase Saturday night as the next system approaches.

The first chance of precipitation arrives Sunday into Monday. Rainfall totals are expected to remain light, generally under 0.25 inches.

A second system forecast for Wednesday into Thursday could bring additional light to moderate rainfall.

Gusty northwest to west winds developing Friday afternoon will continue into Saturday morning. Another round of gusty west to northwest winds is likely Tuesday, with widespread gusts of 30 to 50 mph possible across the region.

Temperatures will remain approximately 5-10 degrees below seasonal averages throughout the period, representing a notable shift from the warm, dry conditions often experienced this time of year in the San Gabriel Valley.

The unsettled pattern could impact outdoor events and activities planned for the coming week, particularly Wednesday through Thursday when the second rain system is expected.
