Cooler temperatures and increasing rain chances are expected in Pasadena beginning Friday as a spring storm system moves into Southern California, forecasters said Monday.
The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard reported that temperatures will dip from the low 80s early this week to the upper 60s by Saturday. Rainfall totals between 0.25 and 0.75 inches are likely, with localized amounts near 1 inch.
Today will be sunny with a high near 82 and southwest winds at 5 to 10 mph. Tuesday will be slightly cooler, with highs near 79. Wednesday will be the warmest day of the week at 81 before a cooling trend begins Thursday.
Rain chances increase Friday afternoon, with showers and possible thunderstorms continuing into Saturday. By Sunday, conditions are expected to improve, with highs near 68 and only a slight chance of lingering showers.
No advisories are currently in effect for Pasadena, but residents are urged to prepare for wet conditions Friday night through Saturday.
The extended forecast shows drier weather returning early next week, with temperatures stabilizing in the upper 60s to low 70s.
