Cooler Weekend Ahead as Pasadena Temperatures Dip into the 70s

Cooler weather is on the way for Pasadena, with daytime highs dropping into the mid-70s by the weekend as marine layer clouds persist, forecasters said Thursday.

The National Weather Service in Los Angeles reported that temperatures will trend downward from the low 80s Thursday and Friday to about 75 degrees Saturday and 74 degrees Sunday. The shift comes as stronger onshore flow and a deepening marine layer spread across coastal and valley areas.

Thursday’s conditions include patchy morning fog, gradual clearing, and a high near 83 degrees. Winds will remain light, shifting south-southwest at about 5 mph in the afternoon. Overnight lows will fall to 56 degrees under increasing cloud cover.

Friday will bring similar weather, with fog before 11:00 a.m., slow clearing, and a high near 82 degrees. Winds will stay calm to light from the south. By Saturday, highs will dip to 75 degrees under partly sunny skies, with lows around 54 degrees.

No rain is expected, but fog and low clouds will continue overnight and into mornings. Winds in Pasadena will remain light.

Sunday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and a high near 74 degrees, followed by clear nights in the mid-50s.

Looking ahead, the June Gloom pattern is expected to persist into next week. Highs will gradually climb back into the upper 70s by Wednesday, with lows steady in the mid-50s.

Forecasters said Pasadena residents should expect cooler afternoons, foggy mornings, and a gradual return to sunnier skies by midweek.
