Pasadena will see a shift from warm, sunny skies to cooler conditions beginning Thanksgiving Day, forecasters with the National Weather Service said Wednesday. Highs near 81 today will fall into the mid-70s Thursday and continue cooling into the 60s over the weekend.
Above-normal temperatures and gusty Santa Ana winds will mark Wednesday’s weather, with sunny skies and northeast winds of 5 to 10 mph.
Thanksgiving Day will bring partly sunny skies and weaker winds. Temperatures will cool to about 74 degrees, with lows near 50 Thursday night. Friday will be mostly sunny with highs near 71.
The cooling trend will continue into the weekend. Saturday is forecast to reach 68 degrees, while Sunday will dip to 63. Overnight lows will fall into the mid-40s.
Rain chances remain low but possible late Sunday. The National Weather Service placed a 20 percent chance of light showers in Los Angeles County, including Pasadena, after 4:00 p.m. Sunday and before 10:00 p.m. Sunday night.
Forecasters said winds will ease after Wednesday, shifting to calm or light breezes through the weekend. No advisories are currently in effect for Pasadena.
Looking ahead, Monday and Tuesday will be sunny with highs near 66. Longer-range forecasts suggest unsettled weather may arrive mid to late next week, though details remain uncertain.
