A cooling trend will settle over Pasadena beginning Thursday, with temperatures dropping steadily into next week, according to the National Weather Service.
Forecasters said highs will fall from the mid-80s Thursday to the upper 70s by the weekend, with Memorial Day expected to reach only the mid-70s. By Tuesday, highs may dip into the upper 60s, about 10 degrees below normal.
Thursday’s forecast calls for sunny skies and a high near 84 degrees. Winds will be light in the morning, shifting to southwest at 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Overnight lows will fall to around 53 degrees.
Friday will remain sunny, with a high near 81 degrees and similar wind conditions. Saturday will cool further to 79 degrees, while Sunday is expected to reach 78 degrees.
No rain is forecast through the period and skies will stay mostly clear.
Memorial Day will bring mostly sunny skies and a high near 74 degrees. Lows will remain in the low 50s throughout the weekend.
The National Weather Service said the cooling trend will continue into next week, with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s through Wednesday. Marine layer clouds may deepen and spread inland, but skies should clear by afternoon.
