District 1’s Sept. 29–30 Neighborhood Walks Postponed, Community Meeting Announced

Two District 1 neighborhood walks that were to bring Pasadena residents and city department staff together Sept. 29 and Sept. 30 have been postponed, Councilmember Tyron Hampton’s office said Saturday, Sept. 26.

The office announced the postponement in its Sept. 26 newsletter without giving a reason or a new date.

Hampton’s office announced the walks on Sept. 11 as a way for District 1 residents to connect directly with city staff about neighborhood concerns, services and priorities.

Representatives from Public Works, Water and Power, Transportation, Police and Fire were to take part, the office said.

In the same Sept. 26 newsletter, Hampton invited District 1 residents to a community meeting Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Arroyo Room of the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center, 360 N. Arroyo Blvd. Residents there can hear directly from city staff, share concerns, stay informed about what is happening in the district, ask questions and give feedback on issues affecting the community, his office said.
