A two-vehicle collision in Pasadena left one person severely injured and knocked down two traffic signals Tuesday morning, authorities said.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Howard Street around 9:55 a.m., according to Pasadena Fire Department officials.
Firefighters had to extricate one person trapped in a vehicle. The victim was transported to a local hospital with severe injuries, according to Fire Dept. spokesperson Lisa Derderian.
Occupants of the second vehicle were unharmed.
Pasadena Power and Public Works departments crews responded to repair the damaged traffic signals.
Pasadena Humane was called to assist with a dog that was inside one of the involved vehicles.
Pasadena police are investigating the cause of the accident.
