Pasadena Police Lt. Bruce George said Monday morning that an Altadena man arrested for drunk driving and a hit and run accident threatened an arresting officer with bodily harm as the suspect was being booked Sunday afternoon.
George said that the original incident occurred at the corner of Orange Grove Ave. and Sierra Madre Villa.
Arriving officers searched the area for the suspect’s car and located the vehicle near Canyon Wash at Sierra Madre Blvd., George said.
The driver, identified by police as 35-year-old Anthony Lee Moody of Altadena, was taken into custody; a passenger in the car was not.
George said during the booking process Moody threatened that after his release he would find and attack the arresting officer.
Moody has also been charged with making a terrorist threat.
