A dumpster fire was quickly extinguished on Friday, and authorities are seeking information on a person of interest who was seen in the area, according to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Andrea Perez.
The incident occurred on Friday, January 24, at approximately 11:00 a.m. in the 3300 block of East Foothill Boulevard. Perez said that officers responded to calls about a trash can on fire at the location.
Sierra Madre Fire Department personnel swiftly arrived at the scene and successfully extinguished the blaze, Perez said.
A witness reported seeing a man in the vicinity of the dumpster area when the fire started, according to Perez. The individual is described as a white man being in his forties, bald, wearing a green T-shirt and black pants, and carrying a black duffle bag.
The investigation has been referred to an arson investigator, Perez said.
