An allegedly intoxicated driver rammed a parked car with his Dodge Challenger with such force Friday morning it ended up in a home’s living room.
The 1:44 a.m. collision sent the parked car flying into the living room of a house in 2500 block of East Villa Street.
Firefighters and paramedics, stationed a few blocks away at Fire Station 32, arrived in minutes.
A woman inside the house was uninjured, police said.
Also uninjured was the driver, who was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol after officers administered a field sobriety test.
Police gave his name as Alfred Velapatino of Mission Hills.
Pasadena police are, coincidentally, preparing for beefed-up anti-DUI patrols Friday night.
Extra officers from the Pasadena Police Department will be out tonight looking for drivers suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
Police won’t reveal exactly where in Pasadena they will deploy, saying only the DUI saturation patrols will take place in areas with high frequencies of DUI collisions and/or arrests.
