Eastbound Altadena Drive Closure Expected to Last at Least Four Weeks

An eastbound Altadena Drive closure in Altadena was scheduled to begin Tuesday, Oct. 27, for electrical undergrounding work and was expected to last at least four weeks, according to a Southern California Edison announcement.

Westbound traffic will remain open under the announced plan, the utility said.

Edison’s published materials give different descriptions of the affected stretch. Its website describes the closure as beginning west of Page Road and continuing beyond Crest Road, while an attached community flyer identifies the boundaries as Boulder Road and the Crest Drive intersection.

The announcement describes four weeks as the minimum expected duration, not a firm reopening deadline.

Customers needing access to properties between Boulder Road and Crest Drive will be contacted directly, according to the company’s flyer. Edison also said it would provide updates if the timeline changes.

Residents with project questions can contact Edison at 800-250-7339 or visit its Altadena Rebuild & Community Hub at 2680 Fair Oaks Ave., according to the utility’s resource page. Telephone assistance is available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The hub’s listed hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
