From powerful cavalry formations and mounted law enforcement to dazzling charro teams, high-energy rodeo performers and precision drill teams, the 2027 equestrian lineup brings an unforgettable mix of skill, spectacle and personality to New Year’s Day. Each group will showcase its distinctive style, from how they ride to the traditions they carry with them.
For more than a century, horses and riders have helped make the Rose Parade unlike any other celebration. In 2027, these remarkable equestrian units will once again take center stage, filling Colorado Boulevard with pageantry, pride and plenty of horsepower as they welcome millions of spectators in Pasadena and viewers around the world.

These equestrian units will delight audiences along the 5½-mile Parade route on New Year’s Day, as they ride alongside floral floats, marching bands and entertainment. Reflecting the 2027 theme, “Welcome,” the diverse group of riders and horses will help create an unforgettable celebration for spectators from near and far.
Before they ride down Colorado Boulevard, see the Rose Parade’s equestrian stars in action at Equestfest! This fan-favorite event brings horses and riders together for an action-packed showcase of precision drills, dancing horses, trick riding, roping and more. Guests can watch the equestrian units warm up, meet riders and horses, explore exhibits and enjoy music, food and vendors throughout the day. It’s a rare chance to see the incredible skill, personality and traditions behind the Rose Parade’s equestrian units up close.
