Final Three City Libraries Set to Reopen After Windstorm and Eaton Fire Closures

Three branches resume operations beginning February 3, with expanded services for community programs

The Public Library system is reopening the three remaining branches that were temporarily closed due to the Eaton fire, according to a City announcement on Friday.

The Hill Avenue Branch Library at 55 South Hill Avenue, which experienced minor tree damage during recent windstorms, welcomes patrons back Monday, February 3, operating Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Jefferson Branch Library at 1500 EastVilla Street, which served as a temporary haven for 100 to 200 Pasadena Unified School District LEARNS program students during school closures, resumes operations Tuesday, February 4.

The Friends of the Pasadena Public Library Bookstore, co-located with Jefferson Branch, will also reopen February 4, operating Monday through Thursday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Linda Vista Branch Library at 1281 Bryant Street. remains closed for previously scheduled maintenance work but will reopen February 22, coinciding with a planned Family Blues Afternoon program at 3:00 p.m.

The Jefferson Branch, specializing in children and teen services, will operate Monday through Thursday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., serving young readers at its Villa Street location.
