Fire Next to Johnny’s Fishing & Tackle Shop Quickly Knocked Down on Monday

A fire broke out at a single-story storage structure near the intersection of Lincoln Ave. and Washington Blvd. on Monday, February 5 but was quickly contained by the Pasadena Fire Department, according to officials.

Firefighters arrived on the scene at 10:46 a.m. and found the structure well involved with fire. 

Despite the intensity of the blaze, firefighters were able to knock down the fire by 10:56 a.m., protecting the main business of Johnny’s Fishing & Tackle Shop, officials said.

The response included four engines, two trucks, one rescue ambulance, two battalion chiefs, and two arson investigators. 

The Pasadena Police Department, Glendale Fire Department, and South Pasadena Fire Department also provided assistance during the coordinated response, officials reported.

No injuries were reported, and no residents or businesses were displaced as a result of the fire. 

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
