The selection process for the 2025 Rose Court will begin this Saturday as the first round of interviews kicks off at 10 a.m.

More interviews will be held on Sept. 9.

“All are encouraged to apply and participate in one of the initial interview sessions at Tournament House on Saturday, September 7, or Monday, September 9,” the Tournament said in a press release.

The interviews will be held from 10 a.m. to noon and, after a one-hour break, continue from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Tournament House, 391 S. Orange Grove Blvd.

According to that statement, the Tournament is looking for applicants who bring diverse strengths and perspectives.

“Whether the applicant is a natural public speaker, youth leader, academic standout, or involved in their community and school. Having all these skills is not required — the selected Rose Court members will provide a well-rounded group who serve as ambassadors of the Tournament of Roses, the Pasadena community, and the greater Los Angeles area.”

The seven members of the 2025 Rose Court will each receive a $7,500 educational scholarship and serve as ambassadors of the Tournament of Roses, the Pasadena community, and the greater Los Angeles area.

The selection process takes a month to choose the seven members of the court.

After the first round, participants selected to continue by the Queen and Court Committee go through multiple interviews, narrowing down to 25 finalists who will attend the Rose Court Announcement on the South Lawn at Tournament House.

  • Applicants must identify as female, be at least 17 by December 31, and not more than 21 years of age before January 5.
  • A full-time resident AND a senior in high school or enrolled as a full-time student (minimum 12 units) in any accredited school or college in the Pasadena Area Community College District or in zip codes 90032 (Los Angeles//El Sereno), 90041 (Los Angeles/Eagle Rock), 90042 (Los Angeles/Highland Park), 91775 (San Gabriel), 91776 (San Gabriel), 91801 (Alhambra), 91803 (Alhambra).
  • Possess at least a 2.0 grade point average in both the current and previous years’ coursework.
  • Be available to participate, in person, in all interview sessions.
