The Bruins face off against the Huskies at 7:30 p.m. Rose Bowl parking lots open at 1:30 p.m., and the stadium gates open at 6:00 p.m. There will be a halftime fireworks show at about 9:00 p.m.
Washington is playing on the road for the first time this season after wins over Kent State, Portland State, Michigan State and Stanford.
UCLA has beaten Bowling Green, Alabama State, South Alabama, and comes off a 45-17 win over Colorado.
Washington head coach Kalen DeBoer is in his first season with the Huskies.
DeBoer’s offense has been in the spotlight, led by quarterback Michael Penix Jr. Washington rolled up 478 total yards of offense and forced three turnovers in the 40-22 win over Stanford last Sunday.
The Bruins haven’t been so sharp in the early going, narrowly escaping an upset bid at home to South Alabama on Sept. 18, and has some injuries to deal with: running back Zach Charbonnet had been held out of UCLA’s game against Alabama State, and quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson suffered an ankle injury during that game.
UCLA has only played Washington twice at home since the start of the Pac-12 Conference in 2011, logging a win in 2013 and a loss in 2018. The last time UCLA played a non-Saturday game was 2020, when it beat California on a Sunday morning in the Rose Bowl. UCLA last played on a Friday night in 2018, when it lost at Colorado and again at home to Utah. UCLA’s last Friday night win came at home versus Cal in the teams’ 2017 regular-season finale.
In the Arroyo, the Recreational Loop will be closed Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.
The Equestrian Trail will remain open at all times.
