Friends of the Pasadena Public Library Announce Book Sale

The Friends of the Pasadena Public Library will hold a book sale on Saturday, Aug. 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the patio of The Friends Bookstore, 1500 East Villa Street (between Hill and Allen Avenues) east of the Jefferson Branch Library. The book sale offers a broad range of used books, DVDs, CDs, LPs and lots of children’s books. Need a summer read? Fill a paper grocery bag with books from the patio for $5. Then visit the bookstore and fill a bag with more items. Premium and $5 books are 1/2 off. Cash, checks, major credit and debit cards and mobile wallets (Apple Pay, PayPal and Zelle) are accepted.

Proceeds from book sales go to fund programs at all 10 library branches. Programs such as Summer Reading Club, One City, One Story, Women’s History Month, One Book, One Coast, Black History Month, Latino Heritage Month, Asian American and Pacific Islander Month, Native American Heritage Month and more.

Founded in 1975, The Friends of the Pasadena Public Library have been active supporters of library programs and services across our community for 50 years supporting the library system’s programs, special services and cultural events. Priority is given to projects that instill the excitement of discovery and the love of reading in library patrons of all ages.
