Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena has launched a comprehensive online Certificate in Youth Discipleship digital program through its Fuller Youth Institute, offering a $200 discount through Dec. 20.
The certificate program, with a regular price of $950, consists of six self-paced courses designed to help youth ministry leaders develop effective strategies for engaging with today’s young people.
Dr. Kara Powell, who holds degrees from Stanford University, Bethel Theological Seminary, and Fuller Seminary, serves as Executive Director of the Fuller Youth Institute and Chief of Leadership Formation.
“Want the best of Fuller Seminary in bite-sized pieces where you are, and when you want it? If you have any money leftover in your annual budget, set yourself and your ministry up for success next year,” an announcement on the Seminary’s Facebook page said.
The program helps participants learn from latest research, explore theological concepts, reflect on ministry calling, and develop biblical perspectives for youth discipleship, according to Fuller’s materials.
The curriculum encompasses six courses, from personal discipleship journeys to volunteer training and community building, with an estimated completion time of 100-120 hours of study.
Students who complete the program receive a professional certificate from FULLER Equip, which the Seminary describes “as an initiative offering non-degree courses, professional certificate programs, training services, research, and strategic partnerships designed to help individuals and organizations advance the Kingdom of God.”
The certificate may qualify for credit toward an advanced degree at the Seminary.
“Make the most of whatever time you have with young people by being better equipped,” the Facebook post said.
The online format allows participants to access course materials, videos, writings, articles, and practical exercises designed for immediate application in ministry settings.
