The LA Galaxy today announced details for the Fourth of July matchup at the Rose Bowl Stadium against the Los Angeles Football Club at 7:30 p.m. on July 4.

With the LA Galaxy supporters’ section sold out for the July 4 match, fans are encouraged to buy their tickets now to secure a seat at the historic Rose Bowl Stadium for the match against LAFC by visiting www.lagalaxy.com/rosebowl2024

Fans are advised to arrive no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 4 to not risk missing the 7:30 p.m. kickoff at the Rose Bowl Stadium. However, parking lots open at 1:30 p.m. for those who wish to arrive earlier.

The skies over the iconic stadium will light up as the club hosts the longest-running fireworks show on the West Coast for all fans in attendance to enjoy, after the match.

“We’re so excited to have the Galaxy in LAFC back here again for the second year, as was noted by the Mayor, the LA Galaxy,” said Rose Bowl General Manager Jens Weiden. “This is their original home and we’re so happy every time they come back. And we’re very excited about July 4th. It’s going to be an amazing event. It’s the premier matchup and major league soccer, but we encourage folks to show up early.”

Weiden said those in attendance get three events for the price of one.

“You get the best tailgate in all of sports, you get an amazing soccer match, and you get the best and longest-running fireworks show on the West Coast. So we’re really excited to have everybody out. We encourage you to buy parking in advance.”

The first 25,000 LA Galaxy fans in attendance will receive LA Galaxy x Rose Bowl posters upon entry at the Rose Bowl Stadium’s Gates A, B, C, F and G.

The Condor Squadron will fly over the Rose Bowl Stadium ahead of kickoff. The squadron is a group of aviation enthusiasts dedicated to preserving the memory of those who have served the country over the years.

The national anthem will be performed by Senior Airman Alycia Cancel, U.S. Air Force Band of Pacific-Asia vocalist. The Color Guard will be provided by Pasadena’s Second Battalion, Twenty-Third Marines, Fourth Marine Division.

Grammy Award-winning DJ and producer AFROJACK will perform pregame and halftime sets.

AFROJACK’s performance will set the stage for the 23rd edition across all competitions of El Tráfico. A native of Spijkenisse, a town outside Rotterdam, Netherlands, GRAMMY Award-winning DJ and producer Nick van de Wall (aka AFROJACK), is known as one of the most innovative artists of his genre. AFROJACK made his breakthrough with the multi-platinum-selling single ‘Take Over Control’ in 2010 and has lent his production skills to tracks and co-created major hits for artists including Beyoncé, Pitbull, Will.i.am, French Montana and Lil Jon.

Fans are encouraged to check out SoccerFest, which is open to all fans outside Gate A from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Festivities include live music from Mobility, the high-energy pop and rock band of the U.S. Air Force Band of the Golden West stationed at Travis Air Force Base from 2:30 to 5:00, and our very own DJ Los from 5:00 to 6:30. Star Squad, Ticket Sales, LA Galaxy Foundation, and Cozmo’s Cadets will have their normal spaces in SoccerFest along with Merging Vets and Players, and Angel City FC. Fans can play a round of Futpool, get their face painted, snap a selfie at the photo booth and pose for a custom caricature drawing.

There will be plenty of food and beverage options to choose from including food trucks, a full bar, coffee, boba, sampling of Maruchan Ramen and Coca Cola. Additionally, a specially curated menu for July 4th will include a selection of Galaxy fan’s favorite game day food items along with the most iconic choices from the Rose Bowl’s menu, including the introduction of a specially created item featuring Avocados from Mexico.

“We will be giving tickets away to veterans and military in appreciation for all that they’ve done for everybody. In addition, we’ll have a community partner in match,” said LA Galaxy President of Business Operations and Chief Operating Officer Tom Braun. “It is not easy to pull something like this off. It takes teamwork, collaboration in a really good group of people making it happen. So just a huge appreciation of all the work that goes into both stats to make this a reality.”
