Following the success of the recent menu relaunches at Sushi Roku’s 3rd Street and Santa Monica restaurant locations, Innovative Dining Group (IDG) unveils a new menu at Sushi Roku Pasadena showcasing inventive new signature dishes. Set to debut later this month, guests will find new additions to the lunch and dinner menus, and a brand new happy hour menu. Highlights include Tuna Tartare served in Phyllo Dough with Osetra Caviar and Wasabi Root; Salmon Carpaccio with Black Truffle (shaved tableside); Albacore Tacos “Roku Styleâ€; and the Ume (Six-Piece) and Matsu (Eight-Piece) Roku Signature-Style Sushi creations.
In addition to the restaurant’s new menu debut, throughout the summer guests will be invited to take part in a variety of events showcasing the versatility of the concept, including all night happy hours; a music concert series in partnership with KCRW; a special one-of-a-kind “drive-in theater†experience complete with concession stand items with a “Roku†twist; and a Japanese Garden pop-up restaurant.
After the reopening of their 2.0 version of Sushi Roku 3rd Street and launching the new menu at the Santa Monica restaurant, IDG turned their attention to introducing the menu at the remaining Sushi Roku locations. “Oldtown Pasadena is a summer destination for visitors and locals alike making it the perfect time of year to launch Sushi Roku’s new menu,†Partner Lee Maen says. “In addition to our special events during the season, it’s a great time for guests to eat outdoors on the patio and enjoy our SoCal weather.â€
Sushi Roku’s new menu highlights the innovative, globally inspired Japanese cuisine that has continued to make it a Los Angeles fixture, while expanding its offerings to include a new selection of appetizers, sushi, sashimi, and entrées made with the finest fish from around the globe and other exceptional ingredients. Executive Sushi Chef Hiroshi Shima has spent four decades perfecting his craft, and oversees the teams of experienced sushi chefs at each Sushi Roku restaurant. His formal training reinforces traditional technique, but he frequently applies flavors from a variety of influences, incorporating nontraditional ingredients such as Jalapeños from Latin America, French Black Truffles, and Italian cheeses into his offerings.
In addition to its Sushi Roku restaurants in Santa Monica, Hollywood, and Pasadena, IDG currently operates four of the most popular and successful restaurants in Los Angeles: BOA Steakhouse (with locations in West Hollywood and Santa Monica), Katana in West Hollywood, and Robata Bar in Santa Monica. Their latest concepts include the modern California bistro Delphine at the W Hollywood, and two adjacent lounges; Station Hollywood and The Living Room. The company also operates a BOA Steakhouse at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, in Las Vegas. All of IDG’s venues reflect bold, modern interpretations of traditional concepts, reflective of the company’s youthful, dynamic partners.
