Graffiti containing derogatory and gang-related statements was discovered Sunday morning in the bathrooms at McDonald Park, located at 1000 East Mountain Street, according to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Monica Cuellar.

The vandalism was first found by an officer responding to an unrelated incident at the Park at approximately 9:50 a.m. Both the men’s and women’s bathrooms were defaced with various messages, some of which were race-related while others appeared to have gang affiliations, Cuellar said.

Pasadena Public Works was promptly notified and dispatched to remove the graffiti. There are no known suspects, witnesses, or video surveillance connected to the incident, Lt. Cuellar said.
