Harabedian Endorses Jones in District 3 Race

Pasadena area Assemblymember John Harabedian has announced his endorsement of Pasadena Councilmember Justin Jones for re-election, highlighting their strong working relationship and shared commitment to tackling complex water, housing and infrastructure challenges facing the region and the state.

“Councilmember Justin Jones brings a rare combination of technical expertise and public leadership that is critically needed at the local level,” said Assemblymember Harabedian. “Through our work together on water policy, I’ve seen firsthand his ability to navigate complex regional and state water issues while staying grounded in what it means for local communities. Justin understands the importance of long-term planning, infrastructure investment, and sustainability, not just as concepts, but as real responsibilities that impact people’s lives.”

Jones is a civil engineer with nearly a decade of experience in public infrastructure and currently serves with Los Angeles County Public Works, where he plays a key role in advancing the Safe, Clean Water Program. In that capacity, he has helped lead watershed planning efforts across the region, focusing on stormwater capture, water quality, and long-term water supply resilience. As a Pasadena City Councilmember, Jones has prioritized sustainable infrastructure, environmental stewardship, and fiscally responsible planning.
