Steve Mulheim, president and CEO of the Old Pasadena Management District, will be the guest speaker at noon Wednesday, July 14, at the Rotary Club of Pasadena’s weekly meeting.

The title of Mulheim’s talk is “Old Pasadena: Surviving a Global Pandemic.”

The meeting is open to the public. Attendance may be in person or on Zoom.

A resident of West Pasadena, Mulheim helms Old Pasadena, one of the most successful and emulated historic business districts in the country.

Mulheim enjoyed a 20-year career in retail, including Gap, Goldwater’s Department Stores, Broadway, Robinson’s, and Robinsons-May, with success in sales, buying, merchandising and store management.

In 2000, he left major department stores and consulted with small businesses. He also consulted with Pacific Asia Museum, accepted the chief financial officer position, and then became the museum’s chief operating officer.

In January 2006, Mulheim joined the Old Pasadena Management District as vice president of operations and was named president and CEO that fall, following a national search.

He also serves on the board of directors of the California Downtown Association and is a member of the Old Pasadena Parking Meter Zone Advisory Committee as well as the Pasadena Police Chief’s Community Advisory Council.

Mulheim will be introduced by Marilyn Buchanan during the Rotary Club meeting.

For people attending Wednesday’s meeting in person, be advised that Pasadena Rotary will honor and comply with the standards set by the University Club, which are in accordance with Pasadena Public Health Department. Masks are required for unvaccinated individuals inside of the club.
