High temperatures are expected to persist through Wednesday in Pasadena and surrounding areas, with limited chances of thunderstorms locally, according to forecasters.

Monsoonal moisture may bring spotty showers or isolated thunderstorms Tuesday, but the greatest activity is expected to remain in the San Gabriel Mountains and foothill areas. Pasadena itself is forecast to stay mostly dry, with only a slight chance of brief afternoon storms.

Highs will reach about 99 degrees, with heat index values near 105.

Tuesday night will be mostly clear with lows near 68 degrees and light winds shifting from southwest to east-northeast.

Wednesday will remain hot and mostly sunny, with a high near 97 degrees. Storm chances will continue to focus on the mountains and eastern valleys rather than the city.

A cooling trend begins Thursday, with highs dropping to around 92 degrees as a stronger marine layer and increased onshore flow move inland.

By the weekend, skies will stay sunny with highs near 90 degrees Friday and 87 degrees Saturday. Overnight lows will hold in the low 60s.

Beyond the flood watch, no additional weather advisories were posted as of Tuesday morning. The extended forecast shows stable conditions through early next week, with highs in the upper 80s and no significant rain expected.
