Warm weather will peak Wednesday in Pasadena before a cooling trend arrives Friday, according to forecasters with the National Weather Service Los Angeles/Oxnard office.
Pasadena’s high will be below regional heatwave highs, however.
Temperatures are expected to reach 91° on Wednesday under sunny skies, with calm winds shifting to the south-southwest at 5 mph by late morning. Clouds will increase overnight, with lows near 65°.
Thursday will bring patchy morning fog and clouds, clearing gradually to a high near 87°. Winds will remain light, shifting south-southwest at 5 mph in the afternoon. Overnight lows will fall to 56°.
By Friday, forecasters expect a stronger marine layer and cooler conditions. Highs will reach about 82°, with morning fog and slow clearing. Lows will remain in the mid-50s.
The weekend will be cooler, with highs near 75° Saturday and Sunday. Nights will stay partly cloudy, with lows around 55–56°.
Forecasters said the cooling trend will continue into early next week. Highs will stabilize near 78° Monday and Tuesday, with sunny afternoons and clear nights.
The National Weather Service noted that a low-level heat advisory remains in effect for parts of Los Angeles County Wednesday, but Pasadena will see relief as temperatures drop later this week.
