Many local businesses are now open and doing their part in the recovery effort.

Businesses have opened across the District and the following lists may not be complete. If you own a business that has reopened, please let us know.

In District 1 and 2 businesses like Perry’s Joint and Burrito Express continue to do their part in the community recovery.

“Now more than ever, it’s crucial to rally behind our local businesses,” Councilmember Tyron Hampton told Pasadena Now on Tuesday.

“These small establishments have long served as the foundation of our community, generously contributing their time and resources to various causes and supporting our schools. In this time of need, it’s our opportunity to return the favor. By choosing to support them, we not only bolster our local economy but also uplift those individuals who have suffered significant losses due to the recent fire—both employees and business owners alike. We all share a hopeful vision for rebuilding. Let’s ensure we protect what we have by backing our local businesses during this pivotal moment.”

According to Federal Small Business Administration, a disaster can devastate local businesses by causing physical damage to their buildings and infrastructure, disrupt supply chains which can ultimately lead to lost revenue due to customer displacement, employee injuries or absences, and potential closure if unable to recover financially from the damage, the loss of the business can harm the local economy.

We also need to offer opportunities for Altadena businesses that burned down to operate in vacant spaces in Pasadena, if that will help them in the recovery effort we also need to show their customers an opportunity support these businesses.”
