Hillsides, a premier provider of child welfare services in Los Angeles County, is pleased to announce that James Gibson has been named the new division director for campus-based services at the agency’s Pasadena headquarters.
In this position, Gibson, who is a licensed clinical social worker, will oversee the Residential Treatment Services program, group homes, residentially-based services, clinical services, the nursing staff, community resources, and the library.
Previous to Hillsides, Gibson was the director of mental health services for Optimist Youth Homes and Family Services in Los Angeles, where he has worked since 1994. Gibson is also a faculty member at the University of Phoenix in the human service bachelor program and the marriage and family graduate program. He received a bachelors of social work from Mars Hill College in Mars Hill, N.C. and a masters of social work from Tulane University School of Social Work.

Gibson will start his position at Hillsides on June 8.
