A homeless man was arrested Thursday afternoon after threatening a woman with a glass bottle at a local hotel, according to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Monica Cuellar.

The incident occurred at 4:04 p.m. in the 100 block of North Fair Oaks Avenue, Cuellar said. Officers responded to reports of an assault and made contact with the victim, an adult woman from Pasadena.

According to Cuellar, the suspect, identified as 43-year-old Austin Little, was yelling inside the business  when the victim approached him and asked him to leave. Little then approached the woman while holding a glass bottle, attempting to hit her with it.

A witness stepped in and was able to get the suspect to leave, Cuellar stated.

When officers arrived at the scene, they located Little nearby and detained him. He was subsequently arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, Cuellar said.

The victim was not injured in the incident, according to the Cuellar.
