
Huntington Health in Pasadena announced the launch a Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC) to amplify patient voices and improve care quality. The council, comprising former patients, family members and caregivers, will meet regularly to discuss patient care aspects.
The initiative brings together diverse stakeholders committed to enhancing patient experiences through collaboration. Council members will partner with healthcare professionals to identify areas for improvement and implement patient-centric solutions.
Huntington Health announced the launch on Facebook, describing it as “#CompassionateCommunityCare in action.” The post highlighted the council’s diverse membership and its goal of ensuring patient and family voices are “heard loud and clear.”
“We are thrilled to launch our new Patient Family Advisory Council,” Debbie Jackson, associate director of patient experience at Huntington Health, said. “It will be instrumental in bringing the patient and family perspective to the forefront of our decision-making.”
Jackson added the council’s insights will be invaluable as Huntington Health works to improve the overall patient experience and “create a health care environment centered around the needs of those we serve.”
The council includes Huntington leadership and members of the patient experience team alongside former patients and their families. Regular meetings will serve as a platform for open conversations about various aspects of care.
