The scheduled closures of on- and off-ramps along I-210 in Pasadena will continue through Friday, October 13, according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).
The closures have been occurring from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. since last Tuesday, October 10.
Caltrans said the full or partial ramp closures and adjacent street lane closures should be expected at the eastbound and westbound Allen Ave. and Altadena Avenue on- and off- ramps; the eastbound San Gabriel Boulevard on-ramp; and the westbound Sierra Madre Boulevard/San Gabriel Boulevard on- and off-ramps.
No two consecutive ramps will be closed at the same time.
The closures are necessary to be able to do necessary improvements along I-210 Foothill Freeway.
Caltrans said the upgrades include the installation of Accessible Pedestrian Signal systems, pedestrian countdown timers, and the re-striping of crosswalks to conform to current Americans with Disabilities Act standards. Additionally, curb ramps will be upgraded.
Caltrans advised motorists to be alert in work zones and allow extra travel time.Daily closures will be posted at https://quickmap.dot.ca.gov/
