The Pasadena-based health and beauty product e-commerce company iHerb has announced “explosive” sales over the course of the pandemic, prompting plans for new distribution centers around the world.
While many businesses have suffered significant losses over the past year, iHerb has been busy “meeting unprecedented customer demand as worldwide pandemic sparks massive sales,” the company said in a written statement.
To help meet the demand, iHerb announced plans to construct new distribution centers in Hong Kong, Russia and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, along with adding new technological capabilities to U.S.-based warehouses.
iHerb Logistics Chief Operating Officer Miriee Chang said the company was up to the challenge.
“The trust our millions of customers around the world place in us to safely deliver the highest quality natural products directly to their homes during the worst public health crisis in our lifetime fills all of us at iHerb with a renewed sense of urgency, responsibility, and purpose,” she said.
iHerb President Emun Zabihi echoed the sentiment.
“We are honored to provide an incredibly wide selection of the freshest natural products, shipped quickly around the planet to empower the health of millions of people who depend on us every day,” he said.
