[Updated] Two incumbent Pasadena Unified School District Board of Education members won their races by far more than the simple majority necessary to hold their seats in Tuesday’s election, according to early Wednesday results from the Los Angeles County Registrar.
A third candidate, Scott Harden, armed the District 4 seat unopposed.
Jennifer Hall Lee secured her return to the District 2 seat with 71.17% of the vote, while Tina Wu Fredericks retained her District 6 position with 61.95% of the votes counted.
Hall Lee garnered 7,736 votes to challenger Juan Carlos Pérez 3,134 votes. In District 6, Fredericks received 5,862 votes compared to Lisa Kroese 3,600 votes.
The results represent semifinal tallies. During the Official Election Canvass, all Vote by Mail, Conditional, and Provisional ballots received on Election Day will be processed, verified and counted. The first post-election update is scheduled for Wednesday.
