The Institute for Educational Advancement (IEA) is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a Summer Spotlight event on Thursday, June 22, at its Learning Center in Pasadena. The IEA has been nurturing gifted youth in LA County and beyond for the past 25 years, benefiting over 11,000 students with its programs.
The free community event, scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., is aimed at celebrating the institute’s legacy of providing tailored educational opportunities for gifted children.
The event will feature engaging activities like robotics and 3D printing demonstrations, rock painting, a bubbles station, and handprint art.
IEA co-founder Elizabeth Jones, along with current students and alumni, will be available to discuss the institute’s unique approach to gifted education.
The nonprofit organization is dedicated to fostering intellectual, creative, and personal growth among gifted students.
The community event will provide families the opportunity to connect with other students and parents while experiencing the institute’s approach to education firsthand. The event will also serve dinner and drinks, further fostering a sense of community engagement and celebration.
The IEA’s mission is to address the specific needs of gifted children, a philosophy that continues to guide IEA’s work nearly two decades later. The institute’s academic contributions and creative aspects of learning will be highlighted at the Summer Spotlight event.
