
The Junior League of Pasadena is organizing a financial literacy workshop called “She Counts: Women Owning Their Financial Future” on May 3. The event aims to help women build confidence and take control of their financial lives through practical education on various money management topics.
The one-day seminar is designed to help women build confidence and take control of their financial futures. Financial professionals will cover budgeting, investing, smart borrowing, emotional money habits, and more financial literacy topics.
The four-hour workshop will run from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Junior League’s headquarters located at 149 S. Madison Ave. in Pasadena. Register for the event at https://bit.ly/jlpshecounts.
Participants will learn about budgeting, investing, smart borrowing strategies, and how to address emotional money habits. The event will also touch on finances related to fire relief as the community recovers from the Eaton Fire.
Seven financial professionals will lead the sessions, including Cameron Coe, Financial Advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors; Tonetta Conner, CPA and Managing Partner of the Harrington Group; and Taryn McNamee Ferrer, Founder & Certified Financial Coach of Money Honey LLC. Other speakers include Diana Herrera, Regional Branch Manager at the Pasadena Credit Union; Shannon Neimeyer, Financial Planner and Investment Advisor Representative at Pinder & Neimeyer Financial; attorney Aisha Oyarekhua; and Tressa Pope, Senior Loan Originator for Loan Titan.
The event is organized by the chapter’s 29-person new member class as their new member project, which aims to develop new members’ skills and involvement in the local community.
Founded in 1926, the Junior League of Pasadena focuses on promoting voluntarism, developing women’s potential, and improving communities through trained volunteer leadership. The organization has previously supported local initiatives including La Casita, Kidspace Museum, and the Pasadena Senior Center.
