Kaiser Permanente Becomes Official Health Care Partner of LA Clippers in Landmark Deal

Kaiser Permanente and the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday said they have forged a comprehensive partnership that establishes the healthcare provider as the NBA team’s official medical partner and team physicians.

The long-term agreement will extend the healthcare organization’s sports medicine program to the Clippers organization while investing in community programs to support local youth well-being.

As part of the collaboration, Kaiser Permanente plans to open a specialized sports medicine clinic within Inglewood’s Intuit Dome campus in late 2025, offering care to both its members and the broader community.

“The LA Clippers share Kaiser Permanente’s vision for a thriving community that embraces total health and wellness and that’s what makes this a perfect partnership,” said Michelle Gaskill-Hames, President of Kaiser Permanente Southern California.

The partnership includes a community activation fund targeting youth programs in Inglewood and surrounding Los Angeles communities, focusing on healthy minds, physical activity through play, and educational opportunities.

“Kaiser Permanente was selected as our Official Health Care Partner and Team Physicians because of their long-standing reputation in sports medicine,” said Los Angeles Clippers and Intuit Dome Chief Commercial Officer Scott Sonnenberg.

“We are pleased to support the LA Clippers and provide the expertise and high-quality care to professional athletes as well as Kaiser Permanente members and the community,” said Ramin Davidoff, Executive Medical Director of the Southern California Permanente Medical Group.

The organizations will collaborate on community activities and programs, opening the Intuit Dome campus to local youth for various initiatives promoting health and wellness.

Kaiser Permanente, founded in 1945, serves more than 12.5 million members across eight states and the District of Columbia, while the Clippers have maintained 13 consecutive winning seasons.
