Kaiser Permanente on Nov. 18 announced the opening of the Kaiser Permanente Sports Medicine Center at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, home of the Los Angeles Clippers.

Kaiser Permanente, headquartered in Pasadena, operates sports medicine services at 13 Southern California medical centers, with more than 20,000 visits annually. From high school football fields to Ironman triathlons, its teams provide support, educate future physicians and advance research through registries such as the ACL Tear Registry. The organization has more than 90 board-certified and fellowship-trained sports medicine physicians and maintains a long-standing commitment to training the next generation of specialists.

The facility expands Kaiser Permanente’s regional sports medicine network, which serves athletes and residents across Southern California. The announcement came in a company statement from Kaiser Permanente Southern California leadership.

Michelle Gaskill-Hames, president of Kaiser Permanente Southern California, Health Plan and Hospitals, said in the release that the center represents “a powerful expression of our commitment to medical excellence and to the health and vitality of Greater Los Angeles.”

The Intuit Dome facility offers concussion management, electrocardiogram diagnostics, metabolic testing, multidisciplinary physical therapy, x-ray and ultrasound, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections, and injury prevention classes. Care is delivered by integrated teams of physicians, physical therapists and athletic trainers.

Dr. Ramin Davidoff, executive medical director of the Southern California Permanente Medical Group, said in the statement that Kaiser Permanente physicians are “thrilled to be opening this new state-of-the-art facility here at Intuit Dome so that the local community and professional athletes alike can benefit from the same high-quality care and medical excellence.”

Kaiser Permanente serves as the official team physicians for the Clippers and partners with other professional teams, including Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) and San Diego Wave FC, as well as colleges and high schools throughout the region.
