The City of Pasadena has issued a notice of road closures for the upcoming Latino Heritage Parade & Festival, set to take place on Saturday, October 5. The event, themed “We Are Pasadena: We Continue to Flourish,” will run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., concluding at Pasadena City Hall.
Multiple streets will be affected by the closures, with times varying throughout the day.
Buckeye Street between Madison Avenue and Los Robles Avenue will be closed from 6 to 11:30 a.m., while Los Robles Avenue between Mountain Street and Walnut Street will be inaccessible from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Additional closures include Walnut Street between Los Robles Avenue and Garfield Avenue from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The most extensive closure will be on Garfield Avenue between Thurgood Marshall Street and Union Street, lasting from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
City officials advise residents and visitors to plan alternate routes during these times. The Latino Heritage Parade & Festival is expected to draw significant crowds, celebrating the Latino heritage and cultural diversity of Pasadena.
The event’s conclusion at City Hall, located at 100 North Garfield Avenue, may also cause increased congestion in the surrounding area. Attendees are encouraged to use public transportation or carpool when possible to mitigate traffic impact.
