The Linda Vista Branch Library in Pasadena will host a public event addressing climate change and renewable energy solutions on Saturday, April 26. The program, titled “Saving Our Lives and Our Children’s Future in Time of Climate Crisis,” aims to educate community members about sustainable energy alternatives amid growing environmental concerns.
“Extreme weather events remind us that climate change is real and urgent,” the event’s announcement says. “In response, join us for a discussion on renewable energy sources like solar, wind and geothermal, and what it means for our community.”
The event will feature presenter Cynthia Cannady from PASADENA 100 (a coalition of 22 local nonprofit and nonpartisan organizations).
Beginning at 11 a.m., the discussion is designed for adults ages 18 and older. Attendees are also invited to a pre-event coffee gathering at 10 a.m. on the library patio.
Sponsored by the Linda Vista Associates, the volunteer support organization for this branch of the Pasadena Public Library, the event reflects the group’s ongoing mission to enhance library services and community engagement.
The Linda Vista Branch Library is located at 1281 Bryant Street in Pasadena.
