One day after California U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris was named presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s running mate, Pasadena Area United Democratic Headquarters (UDH) started taking orders for Biden/Harris lawn signs.
The signs can be ordered online at pasadenademocrats.com or directly from the group’s ACTBlue page at:

“We are ecstatic to have Sen. Harris join the Biden ticket,” said Hoyt Hillsman, a former PCC trustee and chair of the UDH steering committee.
“We know that many local residents, like ourselves, will want to stand up and be counted as supporters of the Biden/Harris ticket, and one of the best ways to do that is to have a lawn sign that says I proudly support the Democratic ticket,” Hillsman said.
Jose Barrera, UDH campaign manager, said the lawn signs should be delivered within a week and that volunteers are already planning ways to distribute them.
Barrera said that Pasadena UDH is one of the first groups to offer locally designed signs, which will also be available to other Democratic clubs and organizations in the San Gabriel Valley.
In this era COVID-19, the UDH is operating virtually, rather than having a physical headquarters, as in years past. Despite the various limiting impacts of the pandemic, the UDH believes lawn signs will remain an important facet of the campaign for the party’s entire ticket, Barrera said.
Excitement over the Democratic presidential ticket soared Wednesday after Biden chose Harris as his running mate. The Biden campaign announced that it had raised $26 million since Harris was selected.
