The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert closing all eastbound lanes of the Foothill Freeway at Lake Avenue early Sunday morning following a collision between two sedans.
The crash occurred at 12:22 a.m. and involved a silver sedan and a black sedan, according to CHP incident reports. Debris was scattered across multiple lanes of the eastbound 210 Freeway.
All eastbound lanes remained closed as authorities continued their investigation. The CHP initially estimated the closure would last approximately one hour but extended it for an additional three hours at 2:46 a.m.
The sig alert has been lifted. By 5:30 a.m. traffic was flowing.
Multiple towing companies were dispatched to the scene to remove the vehicles. The Pasadena Fire Department also responded to the incident, with two engines and a rescue ambulance.
No information about injuries was immediately available from the incident report.
The investigation remained ongoing as of early Sunday morning.
