Man Arrested For Alleged Possession Of Brass Knuckles

Authorities were investigating a Friday home invasion robbery when they found a man, not connected to the robbery, in possession of brass knuckles, police said.

Three black men in a white utility pickup truck allegedly committed a home invasion-style robbery in the 500 block of West Howard Street at about 11 a.m. Friday, said Pasadena Police Department Lt. Chris Russ. Authorities were canvassing the area looking for the suspects when they saw a white pickup truck driving in the area of Fair Oaks Avenue and Howard Street.

They pulled the vehicle over at about 11:25 a.m. and questioned the driver, identified as Sergio Lambert, 19, of Pasadena, Russ said. During the questioning and subsequent search, police officers discovered Lambert in possession of brass knuckles, Russ said. Lambert was arrested on that charge and is not believed to be involved in the home invasion-style robbery.

In California, possession of brass knuckles is a misdemeanor. Conviction of such a crime can lead to a jail sentence of up to one year.
