A 45-year-old man was found fatally shot Sunday afternoon in Altadena, and homicide detectives were searching for his killer.
The victim was found in the 500 block of Figueroa Drive about 2 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Deputies detained at least two people at the scene. They were not identified as suspects, according to KCBS-TV.
KCBS’s Cristy Farjardo reported that neighbors heard gunshots before a car drove off.
Farjardo also reported detectives said the victim was shot while driving. He continued for about a block-and-a-half before stopping at a home, where he exited the vehicle and collapsed.
The sheriff’s department temporarily closed the eastbound and
westbound lanes of Figueroa from Lincoln to Casitas avenues for an
Investigation.
A motive for the attack was unknown, and no suspect information was
