Man Injured in Brick Attack; Police Seek Two Suspects

A 33-year-old Pasadena man suffered a forehead laceration Tuesday after being struck by a brick in an assault by two suspects, according to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Monica Cuellar.

Cuellar said officers responded at 11:57 a.m. to the 300 block of North El Molino Avenue, where they found the victim bleeding from his forehead. The victim told officers that two men approached him for unknown reasons and threw an object, striking him in the face.

Paramedics treated the victim at the scene for his injuries. He did not require hospitalization, Cuellar said.

According to Cuellar, the suspects were last seen walking northbound on El Molino Avenue. Officers canvassed the area but did not locate them. A brick believed to have been used in the assault was recovered and booked as evidence.

Cuellar described the first suspect as a 70-year-old Hispanic man, about 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, wearing a turquoise collared shirt, black shorts, and black-and-white shoes. He is believed to have thrown the brick.

The second suspect was described as a 40-year-old Hispanic man, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 240 pounds, with short curly hair. He was shirtless, wearing black shorts and black-and-white shoes.
