[UPDATED] A 47-year-old man who walked into the Huntington Memorial Hospital emergency room Monday morning with multiple lacerations reported that he had been stabbed but did not give officers any details, Pasadena Police Lt. Anthony Russo said.
Officers responded to the hospital at 8:42 a.m. regarding a man who had been stabbed, Russo said. On arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party, who Russo said was likely a hospital worker. The reporting party told officers the man had walked into the emergency room with visible injuries and reported that he had been stabbed, according to Russo.
When officers made contact with the man, they observed a large laceration on the right side of his mouth and a smaller laceration on the left side, Russo said. He also had a small laceration to the top of his head accompanied by a small hematoma, as well as an abrasion above his left knee, Russo said.
Officers attempted to gather additional information about the circumstances of the injuries, but the man did not respond with any details, Russo said. The man provided no suspect description and did not say where the incident occurred, according to Russo.
Police received no other reports of an incident, Russo said.
The investigation is ongoing, but the victim was uncooperative, Russo said.
