Patrons of Metro Gold Line South Pasadena Station are set to use a new ADA-compliant access ramp to replace existing stairs on the southbound platform by the end of September 2013.
The rebuilding of the new entrance will take place Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Access to the platform will be available during construction for passengers traveling to Union Station, The Source reported.
In addition, Metro will rebuild the north end of the entrance on Mission Street for patrons with disabilities, The Source said.
The ADA-compliant entrance on the south side of the platform at El Centro Street will remain open and only one TVM will be out of service during the construction, it added.
Metro have provided ambassadors at the station to assist passengers using the ticket vending machines and the TAP validators during peak hours, The Source reported.
There are four ticket vending machines and four TAP validators at the station.
