The Mexican Men’s National Team will play New Zealand at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on September 7, as part of an expanded MexTour for 2024. The match is one of five games scheduled across the United States, marking the largest Mexican national team tour in the event’s 21-year history.
The Federación Mexicana de Fútbol and Soccer United Marketing announced the dates, cities, and opponents for the 2024 MexTour, which has become one of the most successful team sports events in the U.S. The tour comes as the soccer world’s eyes are on North America ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
A highlight of the tour will be Mexico’s game against Brazil on June 8 at the redeveloped Kyle Field at Texas A&M University, presented by AT&T. The 102,000-seat stadium in College Station, Texas, will host its first-ever soccer match, with potential to break the MexTour attendance record.
The current attendance record stands at 90,526, set in 2010 when Mexico faced New Zealand at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena. This year’s match against New Zealand at the same venue could draw similar crowds.
The tour kicks off on May 31 with Mexico facing Bolivia at Soldier Field in Chicago. The team then travels to Denver to play Uruguay on June 5 at Empower Field at Mile High.
Following the highly anticipated Brazil match, Mexico will conclude the tour with two September games: at the Rose Bowl on Sept. 7 against New Zealand, and against Canada on Sept. 10 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
